I'm Asma. I'm a Muslim specialist with over twenty-five years of experience in lashes and brows. I work alone in a private studio in London Fields, East London. The most frequent question I receive from my London clients is, ‘are these lash and brow treatments Wudu-friendly?’. There is a common misconception that tints and lifts "coat" the hair in a waterproof layer, potentially obstructing ritual ablution.
The most important question, and I answer it directly. A lash lift works by chemically restructuring the bonds inside the lash hair to change its shape. The formula processes and is completely removed during the treatment. Nothing is left on the surface of the lash that would create a waterproof coating or barrier. Water reaches the lash freely. The treatment is wudu-compatible. I use Elleebana Profusion Lash Lift system, that works by depositing pigment and restructuring bonds inside the hair shaft. Brow tinting with HELYX Hybrid Stains deposits pigment into the hair cortex rather than coating the hair with a surface film. There is no occlusive barrier left on the brow hair after the treatment. Water reaches the hair and skin freely. Brow threading uses only cotton thread, no products at all. It is inherently halal. Lycon hot wax, used for brow shaping where removal is appropriate, is formulated without non-halal animal derivatives. I can share the full ingredient list on request before your appointment. For clients who observe Nams, the Islamic ruling on hair removal, this service shapes and defines your brows without plucking, threading or waxing. Instead of removal, stray hairs are lightened with a professional bleach formula to blend seamlessly with your skin tone, creating a clean, groomed finish. Your brow hairs are then laminated using Elleebana Profusion to create a lifted, textured, full-brow look. Finished with HELYX Hybrid Stain, custom-blended to your natural hair tone. The result is defined, shaped brows that look intentional and polished, achieved entirely without hair removal.
For clients who do not observe Nams, my standard Signature Brows appointment (£75) uses threading and waxing for a more precise shape. I will always advise the right treatment for you at the consultation.

The Korean Lash Lift using Elleebana's cysteamine-based formula, a system that restructures the bonds inside the lash hair to lift and curl from the root, without leaving any coating or waterproof barrier on the surface. Wudu-compatible. Results last 6–8 weeks. I work alone in a private single-treatment-room studio at Gossamer Gardens, London Fields E2. All appointments are with me personally. There are no other staff or visitors during your session. The studio is calm, completely private, and accessible by appointment only.

You most certainly can however If you're looking for safe hair-removal methods, waxing is fine during pregnancy. There are some things you'll want to keep in mind, though. Because of an increase in blood flow to your skin, your skin may be more sensitive and waxing may be more painful than usual during pregnancy. I use Lycon Hot wax for face. if you have any concerns please check with your Doctor / Midwife before you book an appointment. depending on the stage of pregnancy you may need extra time so please let me know in advance.
